Preparing Your Child for Pre-School

Starting pre-school is a big milestone for both children and parents. At Early Years Educare, we understand this and have a comprehensive onboarding process designed to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Before Your Child Starts

• Visit the setting — We encourage families to book a visit so your child can see their new environment
• Stay-and-play sessions — Your child can attend with you before starting independently
• Meet the team — Get to know the practitioners who will care for your child

What to Bring

• A change of clothes (labelled with your child’s name)
• Wellies and a waterproof coat for outdoor play
• A water bottle
• Any comforters if needed during the settling period

The First Few Days

Every child is different, and we work with you to create a settling-in plan that suits your family. Some children settle immediately, while others need a little more time — and that’s absolutely fine.
